War Club apprehended

Escapee Robert Darryl War Club, 48, has been apprehended in Denver, according to Roosevelt County Sheriff Freedom Crawford.

It was confirmed that War Club boarded a bus on July 22 at approximately 8:45 p.m. (MT) from Glendive, Mont. to Billings, Mont. The bus arrived in Billings at approximately 1:30 a.m on July 23. War Club continued on to Denver, Colorado, according to reports. War Club was sighted in Miles City, Mont., Sheridan, Wyo. and at the bus terminal in Denver.

War Club was apprehended and arrested at about 2 a.m, Saturday on the 5400 block of Federal Street in Denver. War Club had checked into the hotel under an alias.

Sheriff Crawford & Deputy Lingle were aided in tracking down WarClub by the Safe Streets Task Force of Denver, F.L.A.G, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, the Denver Police Department and the Colorado State Troopers.

War Club is being held at the Adams County Jail on Federal Drug Charges and a warrant out of the state of Montana.

Late in the evening of July 21, War Club was one of two prisoners who escaped from the Roosevelt Count Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility in Wolf Point, Mont.

Escapee, Jesse Johnson was captured approximately 11 hours later and returned to the Roosevelt County Jail.

WarClub’s step-son, Joey Agosto and daughter Roberta War Club have been arrested by authorities on charges of complicity to escape and hindering law enforcement through the Fort Peck Tribal Court in Poplar, Mont.

War Club is a former police officer with the Fort Peck Tribal Police in Poplar.

War Club was serving a three-year sentence for narcotics violations.

He also has an additional felony forgery warrant out of Valley County, Mont.
