Marijuana found in pail

By The Williston Herald

An investigation continues after Divide County Sheriff officials report a large amount of marijuana was found stored in a rural location.

"On July 14, a resident reported finding seven pounds of marijuana in a five-gallon pail in rural Divide County. It has a street value of between $14,000 and $20,000," said Divide County Sheriff Lauren Throntveit. He said the container's contents were secured with a snap-on top.

He said no suspects are linked to the marijuana at this time.

The matter is being probed by the Divide County Sheriff's Department and the Northwest Narcotics Task Force.
