Mon-Dak Pulse Tour scheduled for July 1 at WREC

The Mon-Dak Pulse Tour is set for Tuesday, July 1, at the Williston Research Extension Center located 4.5 miles west of Williston on Highway 2.

The day will start at 9 a.m. with registration and coffee. That will be followed by field tours that will start promptly at 9:20 a.m. Field tours are:

  • Inoculants Discussion - Keith Brown, Extension Agent, Divide County; Neil Riveland, Agronomist, WREC.

  • Weed Control Update - Brian Jenks, Weed Scientist, NCREC.

  • Association/Market Update - Shannon Berndt, Northern Pulse Growers Association; Local pulse crop processors.

  • Pulse Crop Insect Update - Denise Markle, Area Extension Crop Protection Specialist, NCREC.

  • Seed Treatment Study/Pulse Crop Disease Update - Sam Markell, Extension Plant Pathologist, NDSU - Fargo; Rubella Goswami, Extension Plant Pathologist, NDSU - Fargo.

    Lunch after the tour will be sponsored by the Northern Pulse Growers Association.
