Berry holds off Flory in One Stop Trailerz Mod feature

After a week of sweeps in the first night of action, the Williston Basin Speedway racers mixed up a bit more last Saturday.

Hank Berry and John Flory battled it out in the IMCA Modifieds feature, but Berry held off the local favorite to grab the checkered flag.

The previous feature winner, Mike Hagen, won his heat easily, going from fifth to first in just one lap. Flory and Troy Heupel also were heat winners, and Berry took the dash.

A dramatic heat win spurred Kelly Henderson to his second sweep in as many weeks in the IMCA Street Stocks. Henderson trailed Dennis Losing the entire heat, but Cody Knudson, who had spun out a few laps earlier had kept Losing from pulling away and when Losing tried to get by Knudson on the final turn, he went high on the track.

That allowed Henderson to take the inside line and he edged Losing for the win.

Henderson then went to take the dash and the feature, with Losing again coming in second in the feature.

The other heat winner was Robbi Rosselli.

In the Mini-Sprints, Randy Blotsky bounced back from a third-place finish in his heat to take the feature, holding off Dave Dayman and his brother, Mort Blotsky.

Don Benth, seventh in the feature, won the trophy dash and won his heat, while the other heat winner was Kohlan Fedyk.

In Hobby Stocks, Jordan Durward came away with the feature win, holding off Travis Hagen and Shawn Nostdahl, the previous feature winner.

Durward also won his heat as did Flory, and Flory was the dash winner as well.
