Williston’s Brian Qvale was one of 39 student-athletes to earn Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team honors over the winter sports season.
Qvale, a freshman, played basketball for the University of Montana Grizzlies, and was one of just three recocgnized on the team.
To be eligible, student-athletes have to participate in at least half of their team’s competitions for the season and achieve a 3.2 GPA.
Baseball golf tourney will be held May 26 The annual Williston boys baseball golf tournament will be held May 26, Memorial Day, at the Williston Municipal Golf Course. There will be a 1 p.m. shotgun start and the entry fee is $40 per player, which will include green fees and a steak fry to follow the tourney.
