Around 3:20 p.m., Larry Lecoe, 61, was driving a 2001 Chevy pickup east on North Dakota Highway 12. Road conditions were very slippery. He lost control of the vehicle. It spun counter-clockwise and entered the south ditch at an angle. The vehicle continued to spin, when the right side dug in and rolled a total of one time, landing on its wheels.
Larry Lecoe was ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle continued to roll back down to the bottom of the road embankment.
Mr. Lecoe was pronounced dead at the scene, and transported to Bowman. Passenger Mary Ann Lecoe, 61, who wore a seat belt, was uninjured.
The pickup was totaled. Assisting at the scene were the Bowman County Sheriff's Office and the Rhame Fire Department.
