Former Teton Jen Bresciani will return to the school to take over the head coaching position in the volleyball program.
She will replace Johnna Lewis, who has taken the head coaching job at Minot State University.
“We feel fortunate to have Jen take over a successful program with the loss of Johnna Lewis. We're elated to have an oustanding former player and student come back to Williston State,” said Tetons athletic director and men's basketball coach Terry Olson.
Bresciani played under Jan Skadeland for WSC during the 1999 and 2000 seasons. The Canadian product was a First-Team All-State and All-Region player both years she played for the Tetons. She also was the captain of the team both years.
Bresciani went on to play at the American International College in Springfield, Mass., earning her physical therapy degree at the Div. II school.
Most recently she's been working as a physical therapist and was the assistant coach for the Minot High volleyball program.
She will be working in the physical therapy program at WSC along with her coaching duties.
Eric Peterson has been an assistant coach and part-time employee in the athletic department at WSC for the past two years.
The University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse graduate was recently promoted to a full-time position. His duties will cover assistant men's and women's basketball coach, intramurals, the weight room and work in the physical therapy program.
“We're elated to hang onto Eric. He has experience in our system and he does a tremendous job recruiting. Along with Bresciani, he'll help fill a void in our HPR program,” said Olson.
Olson was excited about the additions to the sports department.
“It's always exciting to have new, young, fresh ideas and I think both these individuals will provide that for WSC,” said Olson.
