Fee to play volleyball at Jamestown College

Jamestown College has announced the signing of Williston's Shannon Fee to join the Jimmie volleyball team in 2007.

Fee helped the Coyotes to a third-place finish in the Class A state volleyball tournament this season. The six-foot lefty put down 308 kills, got up 343 digs, blocked 97 shots and drilled 66 aces in her senior campaign.

She also was a Miss Volleyball finalist, while earning All-State, All-Conference honors as well as all-tournament awards at both West Region and State.

As a junior, she led the state in blocks per game. She also was a member of Williston's first state championship team as a sophomore.

“Shannon is a tremendous player and exciting addition to our team. She brings great athleticism, skill and dynamics to the court,” said Jamestown coach Chris Mahoney.

“We love her personality and passion for the game. Shannon is a perfect fit for our team and Jamestown College right now.”

Shannon is the daughter of Scott and Karla Sheets, and Eric and Melanie Fee.

The Jimmies finished the 2006 season 24-7 and were runners-up in the Dakota Athletic Conference regular season.
